I fell in love with the M1 tv ads till project work,i came up with this idea. HAHAABOUT NEW TOWN SECONDARY SCHOOL. (taken from Wikipedia)
New Town Secondary School is a secondary school in Queenstown, Singapore. It was established in 1965. On December 8, 1998, the school was relocated from Queensway to its present location at Dover Road.
The current Principal, Mdm Ne La Wa, assumed leadership of the school in November 2004.
The New Town students' uniform comprises a blue and white combination. The blue top is described by the school's handbook as a 'Light blue safari jacket with pockets'. The bottom can be a 'white skirt with inverted pleats in the front and back' for the girls, and the boys don white shorts for Lower secondary (1&2) and white trousers for Upper secondary (3,4&5),which look like the Smurfs . Prefects in the school wear a tie embroidered with the school badge and a prefect's badge directly under their name tags. However, after year 2007, the uniform of the school was made to be tucked in as advised by the principal as she feels that the new look of tucking in of uniform makes students more smart-looking and presentable. Hence, this new school rule was implemented on January 2nd 2008. The suggestion for this rule was from a ex-student, a prefect from the express stream who graduated in 2007. Due to many students hating the new rule, this student whose name will be kept confidential was threatened in public and has never returned to the school for a visit to her teachers yet. The reason why this student suggested this rule was because she did not like the fact that she had to tuck the uniform in and other students did not have to. She uesd the best time to resort to revenge to the other students by suggesting this rule directly to the principal.
CCAs are an integral part of the school's education system. The aim of CCA is to provide healthy recreational activities for the students. The school claims to gear towards teaching students a skill and cultivating correct values and desirable social attitudes. NTSS has also achieve a 10 year straight gold award which also proves how well the school is doing in their CCA achievements.
The NPCC CCA has won the Unit Excellence Award for 12th Consecutive Gold Awards.
Students do not like their principal very much due to the drastic changed to their uniform as the original design being tucked out was very unique and much comfortable. The school's uniform is made of thick material called the safari jacket which makes students warm and uncomfortable when tucked in. In late 2007, the school had changed the material of the uniform to a much thinner one, but when it is wet due to sweat, it sticks to the student's skin and becomes very translucent making them lose much self confidence. The slits of the uniform do not complement the new tucking in rule implemented on January 2nd 2008 as the slits makes students look very poor and preppy. Students have given suggestions to the principal to drop the new uniform standards but no action has been taken and the matter was not addressed properly.
CCA points are distributed to students who participate in their respective CCAs. Secondary 4 students who obtain 25 and above CCA points get an A1 grade, which will give them a 2 point bonus when they are presented with their O 'level examination reults. Secondary 5 students need to get 26 points and above in order to obatin an A1 score.
One of the star class of this year E4/3. Wong Kah Heng Justin has exceeded all expectations in the school. He is the face of New Town Secondary School. He is earmarked for big things in the future. He is a star basketballer, although standing at only 5'5. He can dunk.He is our model pupil.He is the schools head prefect. He also is actively involved in the schools Green Guardian Committee. He also voiced for the series Cleft the Boy Chin Wonder.
Another Boy Wonder Teo Wei Sheng is the opposite of star pupil Wong Kah Heng.He fails at jumping and support the Premier League club Liverpool FC.He likes Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard and Spain influential midfielder Xavi Hernendez.He loves Peggy Goh from his own class.
Lol, its damn funny. Today had normal lessons, except for the part when i was kicked by and idiot who did not own up and i assume is a coward. No guts to even say sorry. If no guts to say sorry then dont play lah. -.- Sitting beside hui siang, i can assure you that you'll get high. HAHAHA. We both started prank calling, Jia yi and Hidayah were our victims. HAHAHAHAH! Hidayah's ones damn funny, she complained to solihin. LOL then he called me. HAHAHA! hidayah, Syah and hui siang no fear lah! HAHAHAAH! in the end we told hidayha, but she was A BIT blurr. Lol
After school went to bell's, i mean fatimah's house. HAHA. At 151 bus stop saw nan hau having a match. So i assumed it was against STC at first. It turned out to be them when i ask cassandra quek. : ) They won nan hua. 15-14 WOOTS! I think for them to beat nan hua is a good thing! : D
